Thoreau Rum and Cognac 40° 70cl

After the Bellevoye range of French whiskies, El Pasador de Oro rums, Les Bienheureux is launching a new premium spirit: Thoreau.

The result of a unique blend of Guatemalan rums and V.S.O.P. Cognac, Thoreau is first and foremost a tribute in the bottle to the 19th-century American philosopher, poet and naturalist Henry David Thoreau.

Known for his writings encouraging creative freedom, Thoreau is a perfect example of this philosophy. Between its confusing design and the novel assemblage contained in its fluorescent green-labeled decanter, Thoreau extends its homage to its collar, which features quotes from the poet. One example: "The only obligation I have is to do what I think is right".
