Louis Roederer's Brut Premier is the embodiment of Louis Roederer style, combining all the fruitiness and freshness of youth with the vinosity of a fully mature wine. This is a structured and elegantly mature wine, with a lively attack and a smooth palate. The blend is 1/3 Chardonnay and 2/3 Pinots, including 10% of reserve wines aged in oak casks for 2-5 years. The maturation is an average of three years ageing on lees, plus another six months after disgorging. The half champagne bottle contains approximately 3 -4 glasses depending on the size of the glass.

Wine & Spirits - Josh Greene - December 01, 2017
90 Points "This is the only Roederer blend to include lots that have undergone malolactic conversion, enriching both the wine's flavor and its heft. Widely available in 750-milliliter bottles, this feels brisk and zesty when poured from a magnum, a cool and juicy Champagne with some flinty smoke in the finish."
Wine Enthusiast - Roger Voss - December 01, 2017
91 Points "The nonvintage blend from this producer is getting marginally drier with tight crisp fruit as well as delicious sliced apple flavors. With a touch of toastiness, this wine shows itself as having some attractive bottle age."
Wine Spectator - Alison Napjus - November 15, 2017
92 Points “An elegant Champagne in an aperitif style, with flavors of crushed blackberry, biscuit, spring blossom and Meyer lemon zest riding the finely detailed bead, underscored by a streak of salinity that emerges on the fresh finish.”
JamesSuckling.com - James Suckling - October 24, 2017
92 Points "Just the right amount of reduction here, holding lemon, white peach, wild cherries and more savory notes of spice and grilled nuts really fresh. The palate delivers punchy impact with impressive build and a nicely honed textural thread. Acidity, as ever, is paramount."
